Starting from humble beginnings in a 1,800 sq ft shop back in 2019, we have grown quickly, recently moving out operations into a 20,000 sq ft building in anticipation of our future needs.

PresidentTerry is our company President. He came to our division in 2021 with vast experience in structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabrication operations, spanning over 35 years. He previously led another central Indiana fabrication company for 11 years; leading and shaping them into a top regional provider of DOT bridge components and structural & miscellaneous steel packages. With his deep technical knowledge and broad management experience, Terry has been the vital contributor in developing a vision for this company’s success, and in incorporating the step-by-step procedures needed to lead us to that goal on an accelerated timeline.
Senior Project ManagerMichael is our lead project manager and has been with us since July of 2022. Michael has extensive field supervision experience in the commercial, institutional, & residential markets of the construction industry. He came to us in the role of a project manager, having previously worked as a specification writer, project manager, and account administrator for an architecture & engineering firm. Because of his background, Michael also serves as the primary liaison to all of our construction clientele. Michael manages our processes from fabrication to installation, but you may meet him early on as he often meets with prospective clients to help develop project & product criteria and help determine scopes of work for the estimating department.
Lead Estimator and Account ManagementKristi is our lead estimator as well as our current accounts manager. She has worked in the steel industry for the past 4 years but carries an additional 8 years of experience in construction contract administration. Kristi handles estimating, material procurement, invoicing/account mgmt, and some other responsibilities that may occur in the day to day of the business. She is passionate about what it is that we do and enjoys working with people to see their vision become reality.
Shop ManagerAdrian is our fabrication shop manager & has been welding and fabricating professionally for the past 9 years. Onboarding with our company has given Adrian a great opportunity to run his first shop; incorporating all of his past experiences, technical skills, and a shared vision for our future. His daily involvement & leadership is critical to our ability to deliver orders accurately and on time. He also enjoys sharing his knowledge and coaching some of our newer fabricators.
Estimator - RetiredGary joined our company in February of 2024 after having run a successful steel fabrication and service business for the past 40 years. He’s been in the local steel business for a long time and has earned a positive reputation held by the suppliers and builders in our area. We benefit greatly from Gary’s practical experience, wisdom, and network of relationships throughout the Midwest.
May 18, 2024 Gary retired after serving Custom Fab & Install from the beginning! He still stops by the office and answers questions, but he is enjoying his retirement!
Quality Control ManagerAaron Doyle has a prestigious decade-long background in structural steel and miscellaneous steel
starting in 2014. Rising from saw operator to welder certification in 2016 and miscellaneous supervisor
in 2017. He subsequently held plant foreman and QA/QC specialist positions for nearly five years,
augmented by 120 hours of advanced training in weld inspection and quality control through Atema's
programs. Aaron served as the direct company representative for all in shop AISC audits. Aaron came
onboard with custom fab and install in December of 2023.
Senior EstimatorRon has had a distinguished career in the steel fabrication industry for 38 years. Starting as a steel detailer, he advanced into roles in estimating and project management, contributing significantly to leading fabrication businesses in Indiana and Ohio. Additionally, he has managed a fabrication shop for three years. His passion, strong work ethic and vast communication skills are what drives him to be a great teammate and coworker. Currently, Ron serves as a Senior Estimator for structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to his role.
Project ManagerCliff, is currently residing in Westfield, Indiana with his wife of 21 years and his 2 grandchildren. Cliff is a retired U S ARMY RANGER of 6 years and has spent the last 30 years as an iron worker, with the last 4 years as a Project Manager.
Cliff came to Custom Fab & install on January the 24th of 2023 and has become an asset to our company.
Admin AssistantJoanne recently joined our team as an administrative assistant. She is a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with 20 years of experience in customer service, inventory control and warehouse management. She brings strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze information timely and accurately while managing numerous tasks with professionalism and flexibility. She is an integral part of our day to day operations and looks forward to learning and growing with our company.
We feel strongly about developing more than just a business relationship with external partners and the overall community. From coaching community sports, to helping cultivate the next generation of skilled workers, we seek to invest into their lives and share the burdens of those around us.
