STEEL PLATE AND SHEETS CLEAN CUT TO PRECISE LENGTHS, QUICK AND EASY.

Thanks to our 3/8” x 10’ hydraulic shear, precise cuts can be made quickly and efficiently at Steel House. We are equipped to shear a wide variety of sheets and plates, including aluminum and stainless steel, using our 1/2” x 10’ hydraulic shear. No more jagged edges or uneven cuts — our elite team of fabricators uses years of experience to ensure precise, straight cuts to your exact dimensions.

Steel House’s 3/8” x 10’ hydraulic shear is operated by one of our expert fabricators, who feeds the material through an opening where a high-carbon steel cutting blade is mounted. The operator then takes precise measurements from the edge of the material to the blade’s cut path to ensure clean, accurate cuts within a tolerance of -0/+0.125” on each dimension.

“At Steel House, we are dedicated to ensuring quick turn-around times to ensure that your project stays on track. Drilling is the standard way to put clean holes in steel but it can often take time to drill several holes in one piece. Punching steel, on the other hand, takes a fraction of the time with equally clean holes. Email us today for a quote on hole punching.

A punch press is similar to a press brake, in the sense it has a top and bottom die, however unlike the press brake, the upper die on the punch press is made to fit inside the lower die. When you place a piece of steel between the two dies and engage the machine, the top die will puncture the steel in a perfect hole. Steel House has a top die for almost every size hole up to 1”.

Stud Welding

SAME DAY STEEL EMBEDS WITH OUR STUD WELDER!

At Steel House, we offer in-house Nelson stud welding with our professional stud gun equipment. While some competitors only MIG weld Nelson studs — a process that can take up to five times longer and may not ensure proper penetration — Steel House does it the right way. Whether you need steel embed plates or embed perimeter angles for a concrete structure, we offer same-day Nelson stud welding services for all our customers. We stock Nelson studs in a wide range of sizes, so no job is too big or too small.

One of our expert fabricators can install approximately two to three studs per minute with pinpoint precision using our stud gun. It’s as simple as measure, mark, and shoot. Our fabricators carefully measure the spacing, mark the stud locations, load the specified stud into the gun, and then simply “point and shoot.

STEEL PLATE AND SHEETS FORMED/BENT TO PRECISE ANGLES, FASTER THAN THE COMPETITION.

At Steel House, we take pride in our ability to form steel sheet and plate to a variety of angles and lengths. Our 250-ton hydraulic press brake can bend up to 3/8” plate in 10’-0” lengths and up to 1/2” plate in shorter lengths. It is the perfect solution for formed steel stair pans, corner guards for commercial kitchens, custom brick lintels, oversized concrete pour stops, and much more.

The process of forming steel with a hydraulic press brake consists of a 12’ high-carbon steel upper die that uses hydraulic pressure to form steel plate or sheet into a high-carbon steel bottom die with 250 tons of force. Our press brake is operated by one of our expert fabricators, who uses years of experience and training to ensure accurate angles and precise results with every use.

Using an Ironworker machine, our expert fabricators have the ability to notch steel plates, beams, channel and angle quickly and efficiently. On average, our lead times for Hot Dip Galvanizing and Powder Coating are 40% quicker than the competition because we know how important it is to stay on schedule in this industry. Our Hot Dip Galvanizing process is G90 grade, which is the most common application for structural steel, and our Powder Coater offers the same amount of colors as many of the large Powder Coaters in town.
